Okay, so I AM dressing up this year for Halloween. Work said we could, and there's supposed to be a costume contest. My luck would have it the only costume I liked was a Hot Topic knockoff of Elsa from Frozen. Personally, I would have preferred Anna. I look more like Anna than her sister, but luck would also have it that while they make an adult Elsa costume, they apparently don't make an adult Anna costume unless you custom order one off of Etsy/Ebay, which would have taken too long.
The problem with Elsa is that she's got blonde/white hair, and has some serious makeup going on.
Guess who is a redhead who never wears makeup?
So I sttempted to put on makeup this morning, only to be reminded exactly WHY I never wear the stuff. Initially I was only going to put on eyeliner because even though mom left out her box of makeup for me, I have no idea how to put most of it on. Bad idea. I have eyes that twitch whenever you put something too close to them, and my left hand doesn't like working on makeup around my right eye. What I got was a left eye that looked decent and a right eye that looked like hell. (Though my boyfriend assured me it looked fine in pictures, it did not.) Unable to get the waterproof Rimmel liner off, I decided I was going to toss on a little eye shadow... Mom's eye shadow is a powdery mess. While putting the stuff on, I ended up with a lovely dark blue powder smear on my forehead because it got on my fingers. Thankfully that came off easier than the liner. Now I just have to worry about rubbing my eyes during the day and smearing it all off.
One the upside (and downside), I went into my workplace earlier to get something and there were all of like three people dressed up.
Great holiday spirit, guys.
Anyway, happy Halloween, guys!
